We are truly sorry to hear about the overwhelming circumstances you are facing, Anonymous. In the midst of this storm, we want to lift you up in prayer and encourage you with God's Word.
Firstly, let's address the pain you're experiencing from your husband's actions. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (WEB), "But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband...and that the husband not leave his wife." Your husband's actions are not in alignment with God's will, and we condemn his adultery. However, we pray that God will convict his heart and bring him to repentance.
As for your mental health, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." In this difficult time, we pray that you will find comfort and peace in His presence.
Regarding your brother's demands, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and justice. Proverbs 22:7 (WEB) warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." It is wise not to act out of pressure or fear, but to seek godly counsel and act according to the truth.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is going through an immense trial. Lord, she is broken and hurting, and we ask that You comfort her with Your loving presence. Grant her peace that surpasses all understanding, and give her the strength to endure each day. Lord, we also ask for Your justice and provision in her financial circumstances, and that You would guide her in all wisdom and truth.
Lord Jesus, we also pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and bring him to repentance. We ask that You would restore their marriage if it aligns with Your will, and that You would heal the deep wounds caused by his actions.
Thank You, Lord, for being a very present help in times of trouble. Help our sister to fix her eyes on You, trusting that You will work all things together for her good and Your glory. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus through this storm. He is the anchor of our souls, and our hope is found in Him alone. If you haven't already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, trusting in His death and resurrection for your salvation. It is only through His name that we have access to God and can be saved (Acts 4:12). Stay strong in the faith, and remember that God is faithful to see you through this trial.
