We are truly sorry to hear about your son's struggles, Rulourtha, but we are encouraged that the Lord Jesus is working in his life during this challenging time. Let us come before God together in prayer.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God is the ultimate healer and comforter. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We can trust that God is close to your son right now, working in his life.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Rulourtha's son. Lord, You know his struggles and his needs. We ask that You guide the judge's heart and mind, that they may understand the depth of his needs and approve the stay at the mental facility for 13 months. This is a crucial time, Lord, for him to detox, receive counseling, and learn to live and work on his own. We ask that You be with him every step of the way, strengthening him, encouraging him, and drawing him closer to You.
Lord Jesus, we thank You that You have revealed Yourself to him. We pray that this knowledge of You will grow into a deep, personal relationship. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'
Holy Spirit, we ask that You comfort Rulourtha and her family during this time. Fill them with Your peace, patience, and wisdom.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Rulourtha, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God is working in your son's life, even through this trial.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep holding onto Him, and keep praying in Jesus' name.
