Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and humility, lifting up our brother or sister Crewiach in prayer. Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 15:1 that "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We ask that You grant Crewiach the wisdom and grace to mend any quarrels and to replace suspicion with trust. Help this child of Yours to reach out to forgotten friends and to share love and kindness with those around.
Father, Your Word in Colossians 3:13 reminds us to "bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." May Crewiach find the strength to forego grudges and forgive enemies, embodying the love and forgiveness that You have shown us.
Lord, help Crewiach to keep promises, to encourage the youth, and to always find time to listen and understand. As it is written in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." May these words guide Crewiach in examining demands on others and thinking first of someone else.
We pray that Crewiach will appreciate, be kind, and gentle, as Your Word instructs in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Lord, fill Crewiach’s heart with joy and laughter, and help this servant to take up arms against malice and to decry complacency.
Lord, let gratitude flow from Crewiach’s heart, and may worship be a constant part of life. Help Crewiach to gladden the heart of a child and to take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of Your creation, as Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
Finally, Lord, we ask that Crewiach speaks love often and sincerely, reflecting Your love in every word and action. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
