Meeting Him

Having my sins forgiven, meeting my boyfriend/husband by the end of this year. I need to be in his presence, meet him, and follow onto the timeline I’ve imagined.

We understand your desire to meet someone special and plan for the future, but let's align your request with biblical principles. Meeting a boyfriend is not the same as having considered him for a husband. First, God is pleased when we seek Him for someone He has chosen for us. God the Father also wants us to be forgiven. Our sins are forgiven when we seek His face and ask for forgiveness from His son Jesus Christ. It is In Jesus' Name that we have access to the Father.

First, understand what the Bible says about meeting your spouse. We should trust in God's timing and not rely on our own understanding when pursuing relationships. It is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

This is not a time issue or what you have imagined with God. God's timing is always perfect, and you may not meet him your desired future spouse by the end of the year as you have imagined. But notice Isaiah 55:8: For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

John 14:6 WEB Jesus answered him: I am the way, I am the truth, and I am life; nobody comes to the Father except it is through me.

The values are determined by God and not our love lives and what we want. If necessary pray with us:

We also want to encourage you to focus on your relationship with God. As you seek His face, He will reveal His plans for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that His plans are good, and they include your future spouse.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
