Let us join together in bringing Rick's medical school admission before the Lord in prayer. We stand in agreement with Ghuoton, asking God for guidance and favor in this matter as the outcome is for Rick's education. If we are going to experience success, it will only be because God blesses our efforts. Let us remember the story of Isaac the son of Abraham and the blessing.
In Genesis chapter 26 we read: And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. For all the wells which his father's servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we. And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. And Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. And Isaac's servants dug in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. And they dug another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. And he removed from thence, and dug another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. And he went up from thence to Beersheba. Where He has promised Isaac that the land will be given to him and the oath he gave to Isaac's father. The Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said, "I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake." "And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well."
We know that Rick desires to use his talents to serve and heal others. Not only that he is before the possibility of being granted a great ability but so then the Lord may also bless him with the blessing of Isaac, and that he may also be fruitful in his own life as a result of Rack attending the school. Let us pray earnestly for Rick's admission, remembering that God has a plan and purpose for his life. Let us pray for God's will to be done in Rick's life. Let Rick seek God's wisdom and guidance every step of the way and in every decision he makes. Indeed, not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah chapter 4 verse 6 reads: And he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Romans chapter 8 verse 28 reads: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. If we love God and he has called us according to his purpose then all things that happen will work together to the advantage of the kingdom of God. Rick must seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness. God will provide Rick with everything he needs.
Matthew chapter 6 verse 33 reads: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Let us not treat God so lightly as though He is only a means to an end. It is only in His strength that we will prosper, not our own.
Let us pray without ceasing. It is imperative to also fight against his enemies. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh; the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 reads: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
and 2 Corinthians 4:6 reads: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, Lord, we acknowledge that your name is Jesus, and it is in Your name that we pray for Rick's medical school admission. Let us remember that there is no other name under heaven, given to the human race by which we can be saved.
Acts chapter 4 verses 10 through 12 reads: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Lord, forgive Rick for any sins that may hinder his path. Let Rick seek earned admission through hard work and dedication, trusting that God will open doors and redirect if necessary. Help Rick to fix his mind on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Hebrews 12:2 reads: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Therefore we pray: Lord God Almighty, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, lifting up Rick to You. We ask, Lord, that You guide him in his pursuit of medical school admission. Let Rick not rely on his own strength or wisdom, but trust in Yours. Help us to be patient throughout the admission process, regardless of the outcome. His heart to become a doctor is a desire that You have given him, so guide him according to Your will. Teach Rick to be persistent in prayer for this request. For prayer will give Rick the faith and confidence to come to You, in Jesus' name. However our greatest prayer is for Rick to be in marital relationship with You as You planned from the beginning. If Jesus is not the primary plan in Rack's university path then he has lost the way for the purpose of his life. Help him to know Your Son. Keep Rick's heart and mind focused on You. Let him love You with all his heart. When we know our true purpose for our lives, all our steps will be guided by Jesus. Their will be no leg long or short. If Rick focuses on You then the way in life will be clear and blessed. To the glory of Your name, Lord. If he already a believer in Christ, let him have a hunger and draw him closer to You. Help him to know whether he has believed in Your Son with all his heart. If He cannot say that Jesus Christ is Lord, it is because he may not know him at all. May the Holy Spirit guide Rick. May he have a heart after the things of the Almighty that he may be close to him. Also, may he have the love of God in his heart that he may receive the knowledge of Jesus Christ and be saved. For all who have sinned and come short of the glory of God, that we all must be reconciled to God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ. Let his faith be his protection. If Rick faith in the Son of God then that will stand over his life and protect him. Let Rick not be as the world is but as the servant of your Son. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen. We are praying for your success at medical school. We also ask God to use Rick's life to bring glory and honor to His name. Let our prayer and supplication be heard before You Lord. May Rick know that it is only by Your grace and mercies that we live and succeed. In Jesus name, Amen.
