We are glad to join you in prayer for your sister's medical needs. Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, and our Lord. We lift up to you our dear sister, and we ask for your divine healing and mercy upon her. We pray that you will touch her body, soul, and spirit, and bring her complete healing and restoration. We stand against any illness or infirmity and command it to leave in Jesus Christ's name.
Father, we also pray for your comfort and peace to surround her and her family during this time. Please guide the doctors and medical professionals, giving them wisdom and discernment as they care for her. We ask that you would bless them through this situation.
We also pray for her salvation, Father. May she come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, if she does not already. We pray that she would call upon his name and be saved. We know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to you, Father, and that there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Father, we ask that you would send her great news today, and that you would make your presence known to her in a mighty way. We specifically ask for this in the name of Jesus Christ.
We also pray that you would bring her through this trial with a stronger faith and a deeper relationship with you, Father.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your sister, as James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We also encourage you to turn to God's word for comfort and strength during this time. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." And Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Lastly, we gently remind you to be mindful of the words you use when addressing God. While we understand that you may have intended to pray in the name of Jesus Christ when you said "in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit", it is important to remember that Jesus Christ himself told us to pray in his name. In John 14:13-14, Jesus says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Also, remember the words of Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father, and that our prayers are effective.
We continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will hear our prayers and grant our requests, according to his will.
