Me and my wife started living separately recently after she had an emotional infidelity with a gentleman online. I decided to stay with her and two weeks ago she proposed that she wanted me to move out so she could work on herself. She’s been distant and hasn’t been as responsive over text or calls to me and I’m trying my best to adjust with our child living with me and not worrying about her every move 24/7. I’ve been praying hard for us to work on it and her to come around to me and I need some prayer warriors with me. I ask that the Lord would touch and heal us and this situation we’re currently in.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says about marriage in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Marriage is a sacred bond designed by God to be a lifelong commitment.

Regarding the emotional infidelity, it's important to address the sin that has occurred. Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is a powerful tool, but it's also important to seek repentance and a change in behavior.

Your wife's request for space should be handled with wisdom. While it's important to give her the space she needs, it's also crucial to set boundaries and work towards reconciliation. Colossians 3:13 reminds us to bear with each other and forgive whatever complaints we have against one another.

However, it is concerning that you did not mention Jesus in your request. It is important to pray in Jesus name when we pray to God for anything. Without Jesus name our prayers will not reach God.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and this family. Lord, we pray for healing, forgiveness, and restoration. We ask that You soften hearts, change minds, and help this couple to seek You first. Guide them through this difficult time and give them the strength and wisdom to honor their marriage vows. We rebuke any spirit of division, infidelity, or distraction from the divine purpose for this marriage. We ask for the husband to be a godly leader and for the wife to be a godly helpmate, respecting and loving each other as Christ loves the church. We pray for the child, that they would be covered by Your protection and not adversely affected by this separation. We ask for full restoration and reunification of this marriage in Jesus' name. Amen."

Continue to pray fervently, trusting that God is working even in this difficult situation. Seek godly counsel and surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you. Remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and that He is faithful to help you fight for your marriage.

Lastly, ensure that you are not just trying to save your marriage but are trying to be saved and born again. To do this one must believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. Read Acts 16:30-31 WEB
30 he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31 They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

We want to encourage you, keep communicating openly and honestly with your wife. It's important to express your feelings, but also to listen to hers. Remember, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and He's faithful to help you fight for your marriage.

Keep praying, keep trusting. God sees your situation, and He cares. Let's keep lifting you up, in Jesus' name.
