Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend Matthew. Lord, You see his struggles and the deep despair he is facing. We ask that You renew his faith and give him a sense of purpose. Your Word says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." We pray that Matthew feels this hope and future that You have promised.
Lord, we ask for deliverance from the chains of poverty that bind him. Provide for his needs and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Your Word in Philippians 4:19 assures us, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise for Matthew.
Father, surround him with Your love and let him feel Your presence. Send people into his life who will show him the love and support he desperately needs. Remind him that he is never alone, as You have said in Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
We rebuke any thoughts of self-harm in the mighty name of Jesus. Fill Matthew with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7. Let him know that his life has immense value and that You have a purpose for him.
Lord, we ask for a miracle in Matthew's life. Show him Your power and love in a tangible way. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You are a good Father who hears our cries.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
