We understand your heart's cry for God's goodness to cover your family. Firstly, let us consider the source of all goodness. In Jesus Christ, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. All goodness comes from Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Ephesians 1:7-8 WEB: "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence".
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family. We pray that you will pour out your goodness. Cover them with your favor, grace, and mercy. We ask that you will protect them from all evil, harm, sickness, and disease. We pray for their spiritual growth, that they will walk closely with you, Lord.
We pray for the head of the family, that they will be guided by your wisdom and lead their family in righteousness. We pray for the children, that they will grow in the knowledge of you, Lord, and walk in your ways. We pray for the marriage, that it will be strong and blessed of God. We pray for peace, joy, and love to fill their home.
If there is any unrighteousness, idolatry, or sin, we pray that it will be revealed and repented of. We pray that this family will be a light to the world, a testament to your goodness and grace. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ's name.
In regard to your prayer, remember that God's goodness is not merely for comfort and prosperity, but also for correction and growth.
Hebrews 12:10 WEB: "For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness."
God chastens those he loves, so if your family is facing trials, remember that God's goodness includes discipline for our profit. Keep trusting in God, keep praying and studying his Word.
We encourage you to pray specifically for your family's needs, always aligning your prayers with God's Word and will. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved.
Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
If you have not already, surrender your life and the life of your family to Jesus Christ. Accept him as your Lord and Savior, and you will see the goodness of God covering your family.
Romans 10:9 WEB: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
