We join with you, Anonymous, in lifting up this election to our Heavenly Father, seeking His will and His peace to prevail. We are grateful that you have invited Jesus into this request, for it is in His name that we have the confidence to approach God's throne (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the upcoming election. We ask that Your will be done, that the candidate who will best serve Your purposes for our nation be elected. As Your Word says, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God" (Romans 13:1, WEB).
We pray for a peaceful and smooth election process. We ask that You guard against any fraud or cheating, and that the results be clear and undisputed. We agree with the psalmist who wrote, "Promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another" (Psalm 75:6-7, WEB).
We pray for both candidates, that the one who wins will fulfill their promises and lead our nation with integrity and wisdom. We ask that You guide them to make decisions that promote peace and righteousness, knowing that "Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance" (Psalm 33:12, WEB).
We also pray for the citizens of our nation, that they would vote according to Your will and with discernment. We ask that this day be peaceful, that all would respect each other's decisions and that unity would prevail.
In all things, we look forward to the day when Jesus will return and establish His kingdom fully on earth. Until that day, we pray that our nation would turn to Him, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue to pray for our nation and its leaders, trusting that God is in control and His plans will prevail. Remember the words of Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (WEB). Trust in God's sovereignty and goodness.
