We join you in praying that God will guide those who have strayed from His path, and we trust in His promise: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye" (Psalm 32:8 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who have wandered from Your path. We ask that Your Holy Spirit will convict their hearts and draw them back to You. Give them a spirit of repentance, and lead them along the right path. We pray that God has them come to the knowledge of the truth, and that the truth sets them free.
Father, we also pray for ourselves, that You would give us the wisdom and courage to share Your truth in love with those who are lost. Help us to be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We pray this all in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We are so thankful that we can come to You and ask these things together in His name.
We also pray for all of those in unhealthy relationships outside of marriage, or relationships that are against your principles such as same sex or homosexuality. We ask for these people to repent and we pray for them to be strong and steadfast in your word and that they can flee these sins with your help. We pray that these people can find a godly spouse if that is your will.
As we think about the old testament and how the israelites struggled with your commands and ended up wandering in the wilderness. The israelites were instructed to live different than the gentiles or non-believers. We know many of them did not follow his commands, in fact only two of the original people that left Egypt were allowed into the promised land because of their disobedience. We ask that you help us to be different, set apart, and holy, and that you would help all those that we are praying for in this message to be the same. We pray that you give them a desire to obey your commands and your word.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God desires for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB). Continue to pray for those who are lost, and trust that God is working in their lives, drawing them to Himself.
