We are grateful for your request and we stand with you in prayer for your mom's job situation. Firstly, let's remember that God is sovereign over all aspects of our lives, including our work. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the mother of Anonymous to You. We ask that You guide her in her job, give her wisdom and discernment in her tasks, and help her to perform her duties with excellence and integrity. Help her to see her work as a service to You, Lord, and to do it heartily as for You and not for men.
We also pray that You will provide a job to her that she may serve you in that way if she is currently unemployed. We pray for wisdom in any financial decisions and we trust you will provide for her and the family in any financial needs. If she is currently employed, we pray that You will give her favor with her employers and colleagues, and that You will use her to be a light and witness for You in her workplace. 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB reminds us "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
We pray that you will help her to know you personally and to have a personal relationship with you if she has not already done so. We pray that she would know that you sent your son Jesus to die for her on the cross and to save her from her sins and give her eternal life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Anonymous, remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work. Encourage your mom to trust in Him and to seek His will for her in her job. Also, remind her that God wants her to have a personal realtionship with Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 WEB. We need to believe in Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with him. If she has not done so, encourage her to do so. This is the most important thing in life. If she has done so, praise God. You did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, so we want to make sure you understand the importance of Jesus Christ. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, pray to God in Jesus name. We must always pray in Jesus name and Jesus Christ is the only way to God and the only name by which we can be saved. If you are not sure what this means, please ask us to explain.
We also want to encourage you to honor your mother as the Bible commands. Ephesians 6:2 WEB says, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise.
