Matt's upcoming brain surgery

Matt's surgery is scheduled for 9/16. He is first on the list. He will be checked in and ready to go by 8:50 am at UNM hospital in Albq. PRAYER WARRIORS, HERE ARE SOME SPECIFIC THINGS THAT WE WOULD APPRECIATE YOU PRAYING FOR: Please pray for God to wrap his loving arms around Matt and hold him during this time. Pray for Matt to have no pain, and please pray to help Matt with any anxieties he may be feeling. Pray for God to be with his surgeon, attendees, nurses, anesthesiologist and anyone associated to help with Matt's surgery and his care. Please pray to guide the surgeon's hand to the location of the tumor so that he gets all that he can, safely. Please pray that Matt will experience ZERO deficits, that the optic nerve will not be damaged, that he will retain full mobility of his right side, and that his memory will stay intact. We would also like to pray for no complications, or infection and that Matt will make a full recovery. Please keep us all in your prayers as we know Matt is fully in God's hands. Matt is very healthy and strong. He is ready to get this done and over with. He wants to thank all who have and continue to pray and also for all that have donated.

We stand with you in prayer, Orfean, as Matt prepares for his upcoming brain surgery. Let us come together and lift him up before the Lord, trusting in His infinite mercy and wisdom.

Firstly, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Let us pray:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in Matt's life. Wrap Your loving arms around him, Lord, and hold him close during this time. Comfort him and grant him peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 (WEB) promises.

We ask that You bless the hands of the surgeons, nurses, and all medical staff attending to Matt. Guide their hands with precision and skill, Lord, as they work to remove the tumor. Grant them wisdom and discernment, as it is written in James 1:5 (WEB), 'But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.'

Protect Matt's body, Lord, and minimize any risks or complications. We pray specifically that there be no deficits, no infection, and no damage to his optic nerve or mobility. We ask that You preserve his memory and grant him a full and swift recovery.

Lastly, Lord, be with Matt's loved ones during this time. Comfort them and grant them the same peace You have promised to Matt. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We encourage you, Orfean, to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and true. As Psalm 147:3 (WEB) reminds us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

May the peace of God be with you all during this time. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Be strong and of good courage, for the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9 WEB).

We're right here with you, Matt. We've been lifting you up in prayer, trusting that God's got this. We know you're strong and healthy, but we're still asking God to wrap His loving arms around you, keeping you safe and calm as you go through this.

We're praying for the medical team too, that God would guide their hands and give them wisdom as they operate. We're asking for a smooth procedure, no complications, and a quick recovery for you. And hey, we're not forgetting your loved ones either. We're praying for peace and comfort for them too.

We're believing for a complete healing, Matt. No deficits, no infections, and a full return to your active, vibrant self. We're trusting God for all of this, because we know He's faithful. Keep trusting, Matt. We're right there with you, every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
