amenIsaac Samuel Lubwama, we are grateful for your prayer request and we stand with you in seeking God's kingdom and righteousness. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33. This verse is a powerful reminder of our priorities as believers.
Firstly, we commend you for focusing on the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It is crucial to remember that our primary goal as Christians is to serve God and live according to His will. When we prioritize His kingdom, God promises to provide for our needs. As it is written, "He who didn't spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how wouldn't he also with him freely give us all things?" (WEB Romans 8:32 ).
However, we must also ensure that our focus on the kingdom is accompanied by a deep commitment to righteousness. Righteousness is not merely about personal holiness but also about our relationship with others. It includes treating others with love, kindness, and justice. As we seek righteousness, we must remember the words of Jesus, "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets." (WEB Matthew 7:12)
We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is essential to acknowledge that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (WEB 1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Isaac Samuel Lubwama. We pray that You would help him to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Give him the strength and wisdom to prioritize Your will in all areas of his life. Help him to live in a way that is pleasing to You and that brings glory to Your name. We ask this in Jesus' name, for it is in Him that we have salvation and access to You, as it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (WEB Acts 4:12) and "whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (WEB John 14:13-14). Remind him of the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ and the salvation God has given through him on the cross for his sins. Amen.
Continue to focus on God’s kingdom and live in righteousness, knowing that God will provide for all your needs as you serve Him faithfully in Jesus name.
