We understand that you're facing a challenge with your math test, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we're glad to see you're giving thanks to God for the opportunity to retake the test Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name.
However, we want to remind you that while it's important to apply ourselves to the best of our abilities in our studies, our ultimate trust should be in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We also want to encourage you to not be anxious about your grades. While it's important to do well, our value and worth are not defined by our academic performance. Instead, our identity is found in Christ. Philippians 4:6-7 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up Derfyth as they prepare to retake their math test. Lord, we ask that you grant them understanding and wisdom, and help them to recall all that they've studied. Help them to approach this test with a calm heart and a focused mind, trusting in you for the outcome.
We ask, Lord, that if it's your will, Derfyth would be able to achieve at least an 85 on this retake, so that their average score would increase and not by our own strength or ability but by yours in Jesus' name.
We also pray that Derfyth would keep their eyes fixed on you, Lord, trusting in your plan for their life. Help them not to be anxious about their grades, but to find their value and worth in you alone.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Derfyth, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, confessing your sins and trusting in his death and resurrection for your salvation. Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
