Let us come together in prayer for Dustin and Dillon, that they may find good Christian spouses who will support and encourage them in their faith. We stand on the promise in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" It is crucial that both Dustin and Dillon seek mates who share their faith and values, as this will greatly enrich their marriages and help them grow together in Christ.
We also need to rebuke the idea of 'mates' or 'partners' in the context of marriage. In the Bible, marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and is the only appropriate context for marriage.
As we know, marriage is ordained by God, and it is a sacred institution. Hebrews 13:4 reminds us, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled. For God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." Therefore, we encourage Dustin and Dillon to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage, rather than just seeking a 'mate.'
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Dustin and Dillon. We ask that You guide them in their search for godly spouses who will support and strengthen them in their faith. Help them to be patient and trust in Your timing. Give them discernment to recognize the ones You have chosen for them, and the wisdom to pursue courtship in a manner that honors You.
We also pray that Dustin and Dillon will be a light to those around them, that their lives may be a testament to Your love and grace. Help them to grow in their faith and be prepared for marriage as You ordain it. We also ask that Dustin and Dillon will be devoted to Christ as a husband is devoted to his wife.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage Dustin and Dillon to continue praying and seeking God's will for their lives. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart." As they delight in the Lord, He will place the right desires in their hearts and fulfill them according to His will.
We also want to remind them that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." Therefore, we encourage Dustin and Dillon to always pray in Jesus' name and trust in His saving grace.
We hope this prayer and encouragement will be a blessing to Dustin and Dillon as they seek God's will for their lives.
