Fydorieland, we understand that you're struggling with masturbation and we want to help you overcome this challenge. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that sexual immorality, including masturbation, is addressed in the Bible. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, it says, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We must honor God with our bodies, and sexual activity is designed by God to be expressed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Anything outside of this, including masturbation, is sinful and falls short of God's intended design.
Also, Jesus Christ told us in Matthew 5:28 WEB, "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." We are called to keep our minds pure and to avoid lustful thoughts.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Fydorieland who is struggling with masturbation. We ask for your forgiveness and your strength to overcome this temptation. Help them to see their body as your temple, and to honor you with their thoughts and actions.
Guide them to take every thought captive to obey Christ, and to put on the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Give them the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life of purity and self-control. In Jesus Christ name of we pray.
Remember, God has provided a way out of temptation. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, it says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Trust in God's faithfulness and look for the way of escape. It might help to avoid situations that trigger this temptation, engage in activities that glorify God, and surround yourself with accountability partners.
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father and it is only through His death and resurrection that our sins can be forgiven, the sins mentioned in the prayer request and all others.
Romans 10:9 WEB says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
If you have not already, please confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Your sins will be forgiven and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Stand strong in the faith, and keep striving to live a life that honors God. We pray in Jesus Christs name.
