We are truly sorry to hear about the separation you and your husband are experiencing, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Twtariothur's marriage. Lord, You have designed marriage to be a lifelong commitment, a beautiful union that reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church. We pray for Twtariothur and her husband, that You would work in both of their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to each other.
Lord, we specifically pray for her husband. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would soften his heart, open his eyes to see the error of his ways, and grant him a spirit of repentance. We pray for a restoration of communication between them, that their conversations would be filled with grace, understanding, and love, instead of arguments.
We stand against any schemes of the enemy to destroy this marriage. We pray for a hedge of protection around their union, and for the love that brought them together to be rekindled. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Amen.
Twtariothur, in addition to prayer, we encourage you to act in accordance with biblical principles. As stated in 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB, "Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear." Your husbands heart can be won back to you with godly behavior and actions. This could be a long process so be patient and most of all compassionate. Your husband may be struggling with many things that he may not be talking to you about. Be compassionate and listen to him while also being very clear with him about your needs and wants. This should be a two way process with both parties listening, understanding and communicating.
Moreover, consider the words of Malachi 2:16 WEB, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don’t be unfaithful.'" God hates divorce, and so should we. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted Christian mentors and to explicitly ask for their guidance, prayer, and support.
Lastly, we want to leave you with a promise from God's Word: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. Trust that God has a plan for you and your husband, and He is working everything out for your good and His glory.
Keep praying, keep believing, and keep fighting for your marriage. We are standing with you in prayer and the name of Jesus Christ.
