We understand your deep longing for companionship and marriage, and we join you in prayer, asking God to guide you and prepare you for His will in your life. Remember, God Himself said that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and He instituted marriage as a blessed union between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Let us continue to keep Jesus at the center of our requests.
We pray that God reveals 'the one' to you, but more importantly, we pray that God prepares you both for a godly marriage. We ask God to help you grow in your faith, character, and love for Him, so that you are ready to love and serve your future spouse as God intends. Remember, God cares about your heart and your relationship with Him more than anything else (Matthew 22:37-38).
We also pray that God brings the two of you together in His perfect timing. While we ask for this meeting to happen this month, we submit to God's will, knowing that His timing is perfect. Let us trust in Him, as a beautiful example of trust and obedience is shown in the story of Isaac and Rebekah (Genesis 24).
Moreover, we pray that God helps you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved. We ask that He brings someone into your life who accepts, appreciates, and helps you grow in the Lord. We pray for a spouse who will encourage you and build you up in your faith, someone who will love you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).
Lastly, we must remember that God's ultimate goal for us is to become more like Christ, and marriage is one of the tools He uses to accomplish this. So, let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ and ask Jesus to help us fix our eyes on Him. Our lives are not about our own happiness and fulfillment. Our lives are about bringing glory to God. As we know, everything else flows out of that. If we put Jesus first in our lives, everything else will flow out of that. May God give you peace and guidance as you continue to seek His will for your life. May you continue to be encouraged and know that you are deeply loved by God (John 3:16).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
