We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We will join you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.
Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says about marriage in Mark 10:6-9 But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
God's design for marriage is beautiful and sacred. It's a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and He desires for marriages to be a reflection of His love for His people.
In times of marital struggle, it's important to remember that God is for you, and He wants to help you. As it says in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
Here is our prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this marriage to you. Lord, you know the struggles they are facing, the hurts, the pains, and the challenges. We ask, Father, that you would intervene, that you would bring healing, restoration, and guidance. Help them to love each other as you have loved us, to forgive as you have forgiven us, and to serve each other as you have served us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for unity, for understanding, and for a deepening of their love for each other and for you. Help them to be humble, to listen to each other, and to seek your will together.
Father, we also pray for wisdom. Give them discernment to know what is right and what is wrong, and help them to walk in your truth, which is the Word of God.
Lord, we know that you can turn any situation around for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We claim this promise for this marriage, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Finally, we pray that both individuals would draw near to you, that they would seek you with all their hearts, and this marriage will be a godly union that will ultimately be a testimony of your love and grace. Amen.
We encourage both of you to spend time in the Word of God, to pray together, and to seek godly counsel. Remember that God's will is for your good, and He wants to bring healing and restoration to your marriage.
Lastly, we want to mention that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. If either of you have not believed and trusted in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so. As it says in Romans 10:9, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
