We understand your deep longing for marriage and a family, and we join you in prayer, asking God to guide you and provide in Jesus' name. We are reminded of Psalm 37:4-5, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
As we pray for God's will in your life, we also want to encourage you to trust in His timing. God knows the deepest desires of your heart, and He cares about your feelings of loneliness. Remember, God has a plan for you, a plan to give you a hope and a future.
We pray for a godly spouse who will see, accept, appreciate, and help you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. A spouse who will love you as Christ loved the church, with selflessness, kindness, and patience.
Remember, the Lord knows your desires. Psalm 145:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them."
We pray that God reveals 'the one' to you, according to His will. We also pray that God causes you and your future spouse to meet and talk this month, as you both seek Him and His guidance.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We ask, in Jesus' name, that You guide them, provide for them, and help them to trust in Your timing. We pray for a godly spouse, a helper suitable for them, who will love, cherish, and respect them. We ask that You reveal 'the one' to them, and that You cause them to meet and talk this month, as they both seek Your will and guidance. We pray that this marriage would be a reflection of Your love to the world, an example of Your unending and unconditional love for Your church.
Lastly, we pray that anyone who comes across this request will remember to pray in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we have access to You, our Holy God. It is only by His name that we can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to delight in the Lord and commit your ways to Him. Trust in Him, and He will act. Be encouraged by God's Word, and may His peace and love be with you always.
