We are glad to pray and offer counsel for the requests made. Firstly, we believe that it is essential to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let us address the prayer request for marriage. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. In Matthew 19:4-6 WEB:
"He answered, Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart."
We will pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor God. We encourage individuals to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles, and that any courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who desire to be joined together in holy matrimony. We pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor You, Lord. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit to pursue relationships that align with Your will and Your word. Prepare them to be godly husbands and wives, and bless their unions, that they may be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
Lord, we also pray for those who are currently in relationships that may not align with Your will. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and guide them to make decisions that honor You. Give them the strength to turn away from any sin, including fornication or adultery, and to follow Your path of righteousness.
Father, we ask that You bless each person who submitted a request and meet their needs according to Your will. Give them peace, patience, and guidance as they wait on You.
We believe that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us. And if we know that you hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of you.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we gently rebuke the use of vague terms such as "Thanks in God's name" and "God bless." Let us be bold in our faith and declare that it is in Jesus' name we pray and receive blessings. As it is written in John 16:23-24 WEB:
"In that day you will ask me no questions. Most assuredly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
And remember to let your will and requests be in line with God's will.
1 John 5:14-15 WEB "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
We encourage each person to boldly declare their faith in Jesus Christ and pray in His name, for there is power in the name of Jesus.
