We stand with you in prayer, lifting your husband and your marriage before the throne of God. It is so important that you are seeking God's face in this situation, as the power of prayer should never be underestimated.
Let us pray together. Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and the husband You have given to this dear sister.
Lord, we know that You hate divorce, so we stand against that spirit and any other enemy that comes to steal, kill, and destroy marriages. We pray that You will shatter any lies of the enemy that may be confusing or deceiving him at this time. We ask that You will open his eyes to see the truth of Your word and the beauty of the covenant he made before You, that he would be faithful to his wife in a godly manner.
We ask for Your protection over their marriage and that You would draw them together, giving them a supernatural love and unity that only You can provide. Let them be a living example of Ephesians 5:31-33: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh.' This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."
Show him the value of what they have and the potential of what their marriage can become as they follow You together. Guide him in the truth of Proverbs 5:18-19: "Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe and a graceful deer—let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love."
We also pray for his protection, that You will guard his heart and mind, keeping him from harm and danger, that he will be a godly leader for their family, and that he will seek out the wisdom of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 in his love for his wife.
In all things, Father, we ask that You will be glorified in their marriage and that their bond will be a testament to Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We praise You for the good works You have prepared in advance for them to do, and the legacy of faithfulness they can leave through their children and grandchildren in Jesus Name.
