Kleymir, we join you in prayer as you seek God's will for your marriage to Citlali Correa. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As you prepare for this lifelong commitment, we encourage you to ensure that both of you are believers in Jesus Christ and that your union will honor God. Remember that the children of God should not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers.
First, let us affirm the sanctity of marriage as designed by God. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4 WEB: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
We pray that both of you are already sexually pure and have avoided fornication, but if you have not, then we encourage you to repent before God and make a commitment to purity until marriage. It is never too late to make a change and follow the ways of Jesus Christ. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:3 WEB: "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints".
As you prepare for marriage, we encourage you to seek God's face together, to study His Word, and to build your relationship on the foundation of Christ. Pray for each other, encourage each other, and love each other as Christ loved the church. Remember that love is patient and kind, not jealous or boastful, not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
Let us pray together for the guidance and blessings:
"Father God, in Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up Kleymir and Citlali Correa. Lord God, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives. If it is Your will for them to be married, then we pray for Your blessings and guidance throughout their journey together. Help them to remain pure until marriage and keep them from temptation. Help them to build their relationship on the solid foundation of Your Word. Give them wisdom, love, and understanding as they prepare for a lifetime together. We would also pray for any personal issues that need to be addressed. If either of them have sinned sexually, then we pray for them to repent and turn from their ways. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Kleymir, continue to seek God's will and trust in His timing. May God bless you and Citlali as you prepare for a godly marriage that honors Him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6.
