Chraimir, we rejoice with you in the love that God has brought into your life and in the strengthening of your relationship. It is wonderful to see your desire to enter into the sacred covenant of marriage, as designed by God. As you prepare for this new chapter, let us pray and offer some biblical guidance.
Firstly, we must ensure that our desires align with God's will. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Since you have found someone you truly love, it is important to continue delighting in the Lord and seeking His face together.
Since you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request we want to discuss this. It is so important that you both believe in the name of Jesus Christ. And that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. We must believe that Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as payment for our sins, and was resurrected on the third day. By believing this we shall be saved.
Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is essential to build your union on a strong spiritual foundation. Ephesians 5:22-33 outlines the roles of husbands and wives. This passage instructs a husband to love his wife, just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her. It also instructs a wife to submit herself to her husband as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Furthermore, it is crucial to maintain purity before marriage. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God, designed to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Chraimir and David. We thank You for bringing them together and for strengthening their bond. We pray that You continue to guide them as they prepare for marriage, that they would seek Your will and glorify You in their union. Help them to remain pure before marriage and to build a strong spiritual foundation for their life together.
We ask that You mold Chraimir into a godly wife and David into a godly husband. May their love for each other grow as they grow in their love for You. We pray for Your blessings and guidance upon their hearts and lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
