Pnneohold, we join you in prayer and petition to our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only in His name that we have access to God the Father. We appreciate your heart's desire for a godly spouse and your surrender to God's will. However, we want to address a few points to align your requests with biblical principles. Firstly, the Bible doesn't advise anyone who is single to pray for his or her spouse. Their is no Biblical precedent for that.
First, we must understand that God is sovereign and works in His own time and ways. Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. We should delight ourselves in the Lord, and He will place the right desires in our hearts. It is wonderful that you desire a spouse who will walk beside you in faith and love, but we should not pray for a specific person unless God has clearly revealed that to you. Rather, trust God to bring the right person He has prepared for you into your life.
Secondly, we must clarify that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, not just a partnership. It is important to use biblical terminology to reflect this truth. Therefore, we pray for a godly spouse for you, not just a partner.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God uses our waiting seasons to prepare us for His purposes. Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Trust that God is working even in your waiting and is preparing you for the spouse He has for you. If Antonio has been put into your heart, this may just be a trial that God will help you overcome.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Pnneohold. Lord, we thank You for the work You are doing in her life and for the desires You have placed in her heart. Lord, if Antonio is the man You have prepared for her, we pray that You would make their paths cross and open his heart to pursue her. However, if Antonio is not Your will for her, we pray that You would redirect her heart and guide her steps towards the spouse You have prepared for her.
Holy Spirit, prepare Pnneohold for the sacrament of matrimony, and let any marriage in the future reflect Christ's love for His Church. Help her to trust and rest in God's will for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong and keep delighting yourself in the Lord. Be patient and trust His timing.
