Regarding your meeting with ###, we encourage you to honor your parents and seek their blessing, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right" Ephesians 6:1 WEB. However, it's also important for them to understand that you're considering marriage with a man who has expressed his commitment to you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
