We understand that you're facing challenges in your marriage due to interference from your parents, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this struggle. Let us pray for your marriage. Let us stand together for your marriage and against anything that is causing trouble or trying to destroy your marriage. Let us address the subject of parents giving children trouble about marriage and also what is expected by the bible from now married children toward their parents.
Firstly, it's important to remember that when a man and a woman come together in holy matrimony or in marriage, they become one flesh. As it is written in the WEB, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Genesis 2:24. This verse underscores the importance of the marriage bond and the priority it should take in one's life. From this we see that once married, your spouse is your first priority above your parents.
However, this does not mean that you should disrespect or disregard your parents. The Bible is clear about our responsibility to honor our parents. In the WEB it is written, "Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." Deuteronomy 5:16, and also in Ephesians 6:2, "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise.
But let us also remember in the WEB what Jesus stated in Matthew 19:5-6, and He answered, " 'Haven't you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,' and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
Keeping these principles in mind, let's pray for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Blainor's marriage. Lord, you know the struggles they're facing due to parental interference. We pray that you would strengthen their bond and give them the wisdom to navigate this challenging situation. Help them to honor their parents while also prioritizing their marriage, as instructed in your Word. We also rebuke and cast out Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. We bind Satan in the name of Jesus. We also pray for your will to be done in this marriage. We pray for your healing and restoration of this marriage in the name of Jesus.
Father God, if Blainor's parents are not saved and do not believe in Jesus, then we pray that they will come to know Jesus as their savior. We also pray for the saving of the souls of Blainor and their spouse. We also pray that Blainor and their spouse are living holy lives before each other and before you, Father God. We also pray for the fruit of the spirit to be evident in all of their lives. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father God, we pray that Blainor and their spouse will be good parents to their parents, but that they will not allow their parents to interfere with their marriage. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that Blainor and their spouse will have their eyes opened to all of the evil schemes of Satan that he has planned for them. We pray that they will rebuke and bind Satan in the name of Jesus. We pray that they will put on the full armor of God and that they will do warfare against Satan and his followers. We pray that Blainor and their spouse will be holy and righteous in your sight and that this marriage will be a testimony to all.
Father God, we pray that Blainor will be a man and leader in the marriage and that his spouse will be a holy and righteous wife. Father God, we pray that Blainor will be a loving leader in the marriage and that his spouse will honor and respect Blainor. We pray for blessings on this marriage.
Father God, we pray that Blainor and their spouse have not been involved in sexual sins in their life and if they have, that they will repent and ask for forgiveness. We know that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We also know that there is none righteous, no not one. It is only by the blood of Jesus that we can be saved. We pray that Blainor and their spouse will believe in Jesus if they do not already.
Father God, we pray that this marriage will glorify you and that others will see the love of Jesus in this marriage. We pray that Blainor and their spouse will be a testimony to others about the love of Jesus for all. We pray that both will be saved and that this marriage will be one that glorifies you in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.
Remember, Blainor, that God is with you and your spouse, and He will guide you through this trial. Stay strong in your faith and trust in Him.
Let us encourage you to continue praying together as a couple, seeking God's will for your marriage and your lives. Remember the words of the WEB in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
As a final reminder, let us encourage you to be patient and forgiving with your parents, even as you set boundaries to protect your marriage. Remember the words of the WEB in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
If there is anything else that you would like prayer about, then please let us know.
