Prayers for my adult children to find godly mates.

Thank you for your request, ###. We join with you in praying for your adult children to find godly mates. We stand on the promise in *Jeremiah 29:11-13*, "For I know the plans that I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Though specifically mentioned to the nation of Israel this is rightly applied personally and to us collectively as the church today.

As your children seek God wholeheartedly, we trust that He will guide them to the righteous paths where they can find godly spouses. In *Psalm 37:23*, it says, "A man's goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way." We pray that your children's steps are ordered by the Lord, leading them to godly marriages that honor Him.

We also encourage you from Matthew 7:7,8: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.” So we stand in agreement with you, and pray in Jesus' name for your children. We pray that they ask and seek according to God's will for them and stand in agreement with you that they find godly mates for themselves.

Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and it is our heart's desire to see your children enter into unions that reflect the love of Christ and His church which is us collectively as Christians.

We will also pray for your children to exemplify *2 Corinthians 6:14*: "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We pray that they will find mates who share their faith and commitment to the Lord, ensuring a harmonious and spiritually fulfilling marriage.

We are bold to pray with you to a God who answers. Thus we again call you to confidence in your prayer life and praying like this:

**Our prayer:**

Father, we come boldly to the throne of grace and call upon you in Jesus' Name. We lift up ###'s adult children to You, asking that You guide them to find godly mates. Help them to seek You with all their hearts, knowing that as they do, You will direct their paths. We pray that they would be good spiritual examples to their spouse to be and their future children.

We ask that You provide them with spouses who are committed to You. We stand against any plan of the enemy to bring ungodly mates into their lives. We pray that they find suitable companions who love the Lord with all their heart, because we know every person must love the Lord with their whole heart, soul, or passion, and mind and that they will finish the race strong. We pray for their future spouses likewise. We stand in agreement and pray that your children do not do things to satisfy their personal lust. We know that *1 Corinthians 10:13* says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” We know that you would not give us a command and not tell us how to keep it in the same manner. Lord, there is no reason for any Christian to fail to do right in regard to sexual purity.

Help them to be examples of purity thus self-control thus fulfilling commands such as *Ephesians 4:1-3*: “I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” The calling is of course those who have been justified by Faith in Jesus Christ thus by Jesus’ blood. So being a Christian is obviously a requirement. Help your children to be examples of purity, even as Joseph was to his master’s wife in Potiphar’s house, and help them to be ready and worthy of marriage.

As your children marry, we pray for godly marriages that honor You. We ask that their homes be filled with love, joy, and peace. Bless their future families to be as you designed intended, and let them always be a testimony to the power of godly marriages. Father, this and all prayers are made based upon your word.

### we’re thankful for your desire for godly mates for your children, and we stand in agreement with you and pray for your children to be saved if they are not. *Acts 4:12* says, "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

*Romans 10:9* says, "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

We're reminded of Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 7:39, "A wife is bound as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord." We pray that your children would seek spouses who are committed to the Lord, just as they are.

We also lift up your children to the Lord, asking that He would guide their hearts and minds in finding a partner who will complement and strengthen their faith. We pray that they would find someone who shares their values, their love for the Lord, and their vision for the future.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God will answer your prayers. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
