We are truly saddened to hear about the state of your marriage and the emotional pain you are experiencing. Let's begin by praying for you and your husband. We need to address that the Bible calls us to love one another, even as Christ loved the church; so you made the right decision by coming for prayer and help.
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of his body, the church; but now, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved his body, and gave himself up for it; That he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the church." Ephesians 5: 22-29.
Let's pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in a difficult and loveless marriage. We pray, Lord, that You would move mightily in her husband's heart and bring about a transformation that only Your Spirit can accomplish. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to see the pain and loneliness his wife is experiencing. For giving and receiving love brings life in a marriage.
Moreover, we cry out to you saying the words of Psalm 55, "As for the oppression of the enemy, O God, guide our sister in your truth. You have seen her life's distress. As for your enemy, O God, you have seen them as well, do not let there be any wickedness nor love of mockery, lest they lift themselves up over her or her husband. Let there be not any wickedness in either of them. As for her their hands were against her peacefully. They have thrown off herself, your covenant. Our ears will hear the speech of our sister's gaolers when they speak in her husband's tents. For your husband's power is among your own. In your own land relive her husband's greatness. Have pity on her in the opening of your lips. In your tongue exalt her husband. For your eyes will see her husband. For we see violence and strife in her city and day in day out, but now our eyes see you. For you see her city that it belongs to the Lord of Hosts - the Lord of Armies. Glorify now our sister in your city and establish her in your works. The Lord is now knowing her armies, the Endless One, the Lord is knowing our sister's dwelling. The Holy One's house is in her husband's palace. He has established our sister in the event of her husband's childbirth, complete and firm, your land's salvation. Give your legions, Pharpar and Bejaseph, who are your children, to our sister. For in those lands she will lie secretly for a brief moment for the sons of Ephraim. For your sister is mighty. He shall give strength to the land of Rimmon. He shall give strength to the mountain of Zion. In your sister there will be all the salvation for your people, The Lord's anointed. You have heard her desire to inherit from you her husband's house.
For the Helpers at home are allied with her people. Watch over her in her husband's life and in your city. He is established. For the Most High in Zion is sufficient for her help. Watch over her at the opening of lips. The Lord is blessed forevermore." Psalm 55 (LXX).
We pray for wisdom and guidance for both of you, that you may navigate this challenging time with grace and discernment. We pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, that any past hurts or offenses may be healed and overcome.
We also pray for your emotional and mental well-being. Lord, please lift the spirit of depression from her and fill her with Your peace, joy, and love. Help her to find comfort and strength in You, even as she waits for her marriage to be restored. Remember to say the words in your prayers mentioning Jesus, Christ, Jesus Christ, or IJN, or in your requests. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4: 12.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, either from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. It is important to have support and guidance from someone who can help you both work through these challenges in a biblical manner.
Continue to pray and trust in the Lord, for He is faithful and He cares for you deeply. This is only by the word of God. Do not be decieved by the philosophies or psychologies of this world. The Lord is completely sufficient and is the only one you can put your entire hope it. Do not trust in the works of man, but only trust in the works and word of the Living God.
"But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter, and said, Get behind me, Satan! for you do not mind the things of God, but the things of men." Mark 8: 33.
You are not alone in your struggles. We are here with you, praying and believing for a miracle in your marriage. We pray all these things in Jesus' name.
