Chomtish, we, understand your desire for reconciliation in your marriage and the dismissal of the court case. Firstly, we must all understand that God's will is paramount in this situation. We should not pray for things to go our way. Rather we should pray for God's will. We must be obedient in understanding His will for divorce is addressed in scripture. In Malachi 2:16, WEB God says, I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel. Divorce is a sensitive issue, and God's will is crucial. God allows divorce for marital unfaithfulness as written in the WEB version of Matt 5:32, but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery. God also allows divorce when your spouse is not a believer and they desire to leave as stated in the WEB vesion of 1 Corinthians 7:15, Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.
In the courtship for your marriage, you both agreed to submit willingly and joyfully to a covenantal lifelong commitment, one that unites a man and a woman as one flesh as outlined in the WEB versions of Matthew 19:5-6 and Genesis 2:24-25. It is that commitment that you both are willing and are making every effort to uphold that is pleasing to God. Pray about your behavior, interviews and other interactions concerning the prosecution with everyone involved in the court case. Make sure to pray, act and speak by God's will for all involved. All the way from those direct effects to those who arerought with the lesser influences. Pray also about the prosecution's clients and family; the state or government; and the community. By the world's standards, it may seem foolish to bless and not curse your enemies as noted in WEB version of Matt 5:44, Romans 12:20-21. By God's standards, Christ gave us the example of having all power and not using it to overcome persecution. But suffering persecution without retaliation.
Divorce is not God's original intent and it is important to pray for His guidance to avoid divorce. If God allows divorce in your situation is for Him to judge not us. Therefore, we pray for Chomtish, on behalf of your marriage, that God's will be done. If you are in any sexual relationships outside marriage, that is called fornication and you must cease from all such activity. Fornication is described in WEB version of 1 Thessalonians 4:3 and Galatians 5:19. Realize that Christ died for you and your Family. Accept Christ as your savior if you haven't already. We pray that Jesus Christ (IJC) is part of your relationship. IJC is God. Therefore, it is important that He is part of everything in our lives, including our marriages. We notice that your request did not include IJC. In John 14:6, WEB we read, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus . 1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) Furthermore, in Colossians 3:17 we read, Whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. (WEB) And in the WEB version of Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Therefore, we pray this in Jesus name (If you aren't praying in the name of Jesus, you should not expect it to be heard by God).
Heavenly Father, we approach your Throne of Grace with confidence. Chomtish needs your divine intervention. If it is your will LORD, make a way for reconciliation and healing. If this marriage is not your will, give Chomtish the grace to let go and to walk in your divine will of IJC. We pray for what is best by your will. Lord we pray for the strength to forgive any wrongdoing and carry the peace that comes from knowing everything is in your hands during this difficult time. Thank you LORD for your promises. We pray that Chomtish accept Jesus Christ as savior if has not already. We pray in Jesus' name. We ask for strength to endure, wisdom to understand and full trust in God's will. We pray for Chomtish to be able to overcome anxieties that may arise. For IJC declares in Philippians: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (WEB) In Jesus' name. Amen.
