Fleyseman, we join you in prayer for a godly spouse who will support and encourage you in your walk with Christ and in the fulfillment of your calling. We stand on the promise in Psalm 37:4, which tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
As we pray for your future husband, we ask that the Lord will prepare both of you, drawing you closer to Him and to each other in His perfect timing. We pray that this man will be a true leader and servant, as modeled by Christ, loving you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25-28).
However, we want to remind you of the importance of seeking God's will first and foremost. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." As you focus on your relationship with the Lord and His purposes for you, trust that He will bring the right man into your life at the right time.
We also want to ensure that you are looking for these qualities in a biblical marriage, rather than just a companion or partner. The Bible teaches us that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6).
Lastly, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus. We want to encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your will to be done in Fleyseman's life. Prepare her and her future husband for a godly marriage that honors You. Give them both a heart to serve and love each other as Christ loves the church. Help Fleyseman to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that You will provide all her needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust and delight in the Lord, knowing that His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
