We understand the pain and struggle you're going through, Saxtum. We believe that marriage is a sacred union designed by God, and intimacy is a vital part of that bond. We will pray for you and your wife, and we encourage you to keep pursuing God's will for your marriage.
Let us remind you of what the WEB says in 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, "Let the husband render to the wife the affection owed to her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife doesnโt have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise also the husband doesnโt have authority over his own body, but the wife. Donโt deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesnโt tempt you because of your lack of self-control."
Jesus must be the center of your marriage, and while your wife is right in having Jesus in her life, it's also important to understand that God designed marriage to be a reflection of His love for the church (Ephesians 5:25-33). This includes emotional, spiritual, and physical intimacy.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus to lift up Saxtum and his wife. Lord, we ask that You reignite the spark in their marriage, that You bring them closer together, not just spiritually, but emotionally and physically as well. Help them to communicate openly and honestly about their feelings and needs. Lord, we rebuke any plans of the enemy to divide this marriage. We ask that You bring healing and restoration, that their marriage would reflect Your love and commitment to us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Saxtum, we encourage you to continue loving your wife as Christ loves the church. Keep communicating openly with her, and also seek counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. Trust that God is working in your marriage, even in the toughest times. Always remember, it's in Jesus' name that we have access to God, and it's in His name that we pray and seek restoration.
