Thank you, Pendollyn, for your heartfelt prayer request. We join you in seeking God's will for your marriage and family. Let us pray together and explore God's Word for guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ as your Savior. It is only through His blood that we are saved and reconciled to God (Ephesians 1:7, WEB). It is also by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB).
As the spiritual leader of your home, it is crucial to follow Christ's teachings. We encourage you to meditate on His Word day and night, as it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105, WEB). God promises to give wisdom liberally to those who ask (James 1:5, WEB), so seek Him for understanding and guidance.
Praying for your wife's heart to soften is indeednoble. Remember, "Love is patient, love is kind, [...] love hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, WEB). Continue to love her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25, WEB), and trust that God is working in her heart.
As for your son, we pray that God will indeed surround him with His loving arms. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14, WEB). Trust that God has a plan for him and will protect him.
In this trying time, cling to God's promises. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Pendollyn's marriage and family. Lord, help him be the Godly leader You want him to be, filled with Your Spirit and guided by Your Word. Soften his wife's heart, God, and open the lines of communication between them. Protect their son, comfort him, and draw him close to You. Give Pendollyn steadfast faith, a clear mind, and peace as he waits on Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord, Pendollyn. Keep praying, trusting, and seeking God's will.
