We stand with you in prayer, Aerowen. We understand the deep sadness and hurt you're feeling as you face the challenges in your marriage. Remember, God's heart is for reconciliation and restoration, as He desires that marriages reflect the unbreakable covenant He has with His people.
Firstly, let's address the importance of forgiveness. Just as you've come to the Lord for forgiveness, remember that we are called to forgive others as well. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." It's crucial to extend forgiveness to your husband, just as you've sought forgiveness from the Lord.
Regarding the hurt and mistrust, Isaiah 61:1 (WEB) says, "The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and opening of the eyes to those who are bound." Trust that the Lord can heal your heart and help you to trust again.
We pray for your husband, that God would draw him away from temptation and negativity, and toward His loving kindness. James 1:14-15 (WEB) warns, "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. The sin, when it is full grown, produces death." We pray that your husband would resist temptation and turn to the Lord.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Aerowen and her marriage. Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration. Help Aerowen to forgive as You have forgiven her. Heal her heart, Lord, and help her to trust again. Draw her husband away from temptation and to Yourself. We ask that You would strengthen their marriage and make it a testimony of Your faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to come boldly before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.
