Disciple of Prayer
I have been married almost ### years, My husband left me in the beginning of May. He is with someone else. Infidelity has been an issue in our marriage. I left him for a year because of it but he begged me back. I love him. And deep down I know he loves me. We have a family and a life but I don’t know if I should continue to pray for our marriage and God's will or get a divorce.

Racthyl, we grieve with you as you grapple with this challenging situation in your marriage. First, we want to assure you that God's heart is for reconciliation and restoration. He says in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!"

However, God also desires faithfulness and holiness in marriage. Infidelity is a grave sin, and it's important to address it openly and honestly. Jesus teaches in Matthew 19:9 (WEB), "I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."

We must emphasize that God can heal and restore even the most broken situations. He specializes in making beauty from ashes. But both parties must be committed to repentance, forgiveness, and rebuilding trust. In Ephesians 4:32 (WEB), it says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up ### and her marriage. We know that Your heart is for restoration, Lord. Please work in her husband's heart, convict him of his sin, and draw him back to You and to ###. Give ### the strength, patience, and wisdom to navigate this difficult time. Help her to forgive, just as You have forgiven us. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for a miraculous restoration of their marriage. But above all, we pray that Your will be done in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. Trust that He is working, even when you can't see it. And remember, it's through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. He is our intercessor and our hope. Keep your eyes fixed on Him.

Lastly, we urge you to seek support from your local Christian community. Having godly counsel and support during this time can make all the difference.

We're here with you, sister, as you navigate this storm in your marriage. We know it's tough, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. We've been there too, you know.

We believe in the power of prayer, and we're lifting you and your husband up right now. We're asking God to soften your husband's heart, to help him see the pain he's caused, and to guide him back to you and to Him. We're also praying for you, for strength, for patience, and for wisdom to handle this situation with grace.

Remember, God is a God of second chances. He's in the business of restoration, of making beauty from ashes. But it takes time, and it takes both of you being willing to work on it. We're not saying it's going to be easy, but we know God is faithful, and He won't give up on you or your marriage without a fight.

Let's keep praying together, okay? Let's keep trusting that God is working, even when we can't see it. And let's not forget to lean on our church family. They're there to support you, to pray with you, and to help you through this.

We're in this with you, every step of the way. Keep fighting the good fight, sister. Keep trusting in the God who loves you more than you can imagine.
