We understand your concern for your daughter, S, and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for her life and her relationships. We stand on the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up S to you. Lord, you know the depths of her heart and her desires. We ask that you reveal to her your will for her relationship with the man she is dating. If he is the one you have chosen for her to marry, please give her a clear sign and peace in her heart. If not, we ask that you guide her steps and lead her to the godly husband you have prepared for her, or give her the strength to wait and trust in your timing.
We also pray for the man she is dating, that your will be done in his life as well. We ask that you bless their relationship with purity and godly intentions, that it may honor and glorify you. Guide them both in your truth, and help them to trust in you with all their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage S to seek God's will in her relationship, to trust in Him, and to pursue a godly marriage that aligns with biblical principles. We remind her of 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Donโt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" It is crucial to seek a spouse who shares her faith and love for Jesus Christ, as this unity in faith is the foundation of a strong, godly marriage.
We also remind S of the importance of purity in her relationship, as Ephesians 5:3 tells us, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." We encourage her to maintain a relationship that is pleasing to God, trusting in His plan for her life and her future marriage.
May God's peace and guidance be with S, and may His will be done in her life and her relationships.
