We are grateful for your heartfelt prayer request, Fellthur. It's commendable that you and your husband are seeking reconciliation and a fresh start in your marriage. We will pray and provide guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of forgiveness and love in your journey. As it's written in Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB), "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is key to healing and moving forward.
Regarding the anger and arguments, James 1:19-20 (WEB) advises, "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God." We encourage both of you to practice active listening, patience, and understanding.
Trust issues can be addressed by steadfast love and commitment. In 1 Corinthians 13:7 (WEB), we learn that love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things." It's a process that requires time and consistent effort.
While it's difficult when others are against your union, remember that God is the ultimate authority. In Romans 8:31 (WEB), we are reassured, "What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
We also note that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. It's important to understand that it's through Him that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Fellthur and her husband. We pray for healing in their marriage, that old wounds would be mended, and past mistakes forgiven. Help them to love and trust each other deeply, to communicate effectively, and to control their anger. Surround them with Your love and grace, and guide them according to Your will. We also pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they haven't already.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to seek God together, to pray together, and to study the Bible together. May God bless your marriage and grant you both peace, joy, and everlasting love.
