We understand that you are seeking prayer and support for a restored and rebuilt marriage. Firstly, we must acknowledge that the only way to approach God is through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we are saved and have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We must also address that the role of a wife, as outlined in the Bible, is not one of a "spoiled housewife," but rather a helper suitable for her husband. In Ephesians 5:22-24 WEB, it says, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything."
A husband is indeed to protect his wife and children also according to the scriptures. In I Timothy 5:8 WEB, it says, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Husbands should also honor their wives as stated in I Peter 3:7 WEB, Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, honoring them as being heirs with you of the grace of life; so that your prayers may not be hindered.
A wife's priority should be her home, her husband, and her children as stated in Titus 2:4 WEB, "that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,".
Furthermore, we must caution against the idea of "soul ties," as this is not a biblical concept. Instead, we should focus on the biblical principles of marriage, which include love, respect, and mutual submission to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this marriage. We pray that You would heal and restore this union, and that both husband and wife would submit to Your will and Your Word. We ask for my wayward sister to repent and to desire to fulfill her biblical role as a wife and possibly a mother. We pray that the husband would seek to honor and protect his wife also according to your word, and that their home would be rebuilt on the solid foundation of Your Word. We ask that the wife would seek Your face and Your will, and that she would strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman. We ask that the daughter would also see Your work in her parents' marriage and that she would be drawn closer to You. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your grace. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both husband and wife to study the biblical roles of a husband and wife and to strive to live according to God's Word. We also encourage them to seek biblical counseling if necessary, and to surround themselves with a community of believers who can support and encourage them in their marriage.
