We are truly saddened to hear about the trouble in a marriage, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. Firstly, we must remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and His will is for marriages to be restored and strengthened.
It is important to lift up that all things are possible for him who believes. So keep believing for God to restore what has been damaged.
In cases of separation, we must be honest with ourselves and God about any sin that may have contributed to the situation. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is by the name of Jesus that we are saved. It is by the name of Jesus that we are delivered. It is by the name of Jesus that we are healed. It is by the name of Jesus that we are prospered. It is by the name of Jesus that we are anointed. It is by the name of Jesus that we have the Holy Spirit. It is by the name of Jesus that we are blessed. Acts 4:12 tells us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Jesus is the only way (John 14:6), so it is vital to ensure that any prayers are offered through His name.
If there has been any sin, such as adultery, forgiveness must be sought from God and from the spouse, and repentance must be genuine. We encourage forgiveness but also wisdom in ensuring that the sin has been truly forsaken. Forgiveness also needs to be granted when it is asked for.
God can soften hearts and bring love back into a marriage. Hosea 2:14 WEB says, "Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her." Just as God spoke tenderly to Israel, He can speak tenderly to a spouse and draw them back to the marriage.
We pray together for God's will to be done in the marriage, for hearts to be softened, and for love to be renewed.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage to You. We pray for restoration, for hearts to be drawn back together, and for love to be rekindled. We ask for wisdom and guidance for both individuals, and we pray that You would remove any bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness. We ask that You would remind both of them of the vows they made to You and to each other, and that You would help them to honor those vows. We pray that You and You alone will be the glue that holds this marriage together. We pray that You will be glorified in this situation. And we ask this in Jesus Christ's name.
We encourage continued prayer, and we advise diving into the Word of God and seeking godly counsel for further guidance.
