We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you've faced in your marriage, Berdard. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and your marriage.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the profound commitment that marriage is, as described in the Bible. Matthew 19:6 (WEB) says, "So they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Even though divorce has occurred, God's power is limitless, and He can restore what is broken.
However, it's crucial to acknowledge the sanctity of marriage and the biblical grounds for divorce. While love and emotions are important, they should not be the sole basis for reconciliation. Ensure that both of you are committed to following God's will and His principles for your marriage. Mark 10:9 (WEB) reminds us, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
We also want to address the mention of "the enemy." Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Put on the full armor of God, and stand firm against the devil's schemes.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Berdard's marriage. Lord, we know that Your heart is for reconciliation and restoration. If it is Your will, we ask that You would mend and restore this marriage, making it stronger and more Christ-centered than ever before. Help Berdard and their spouse to seek You first, to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to love each other as Christ loves the Church. Protect them from the enemy's attacks and guide them in Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
