Anonymous, we rejoice with you that your husband has returned, and we give all glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ for answering your prayer. It is our fervent desire to stand with you in prayer and counsel, seeking God's will for your marriage.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promises of God. In Matthew 19:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." We stand on this promise for your marriage, believing that what God has joined together, no man can separate.
However, we must also address the issue of divorce that your husband has mentioned. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), God says, "For I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel." We encourage you to continue to pray and believe that God can soften your husband's heart and bring restoration to your marriage.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her marriage. Lord, we thank You for bringing her husband back and we ask that You would continue to work in his heart. Soften his heart, Lord, and remove any thoughts of divorce. Help them to love each other as You have loved us, and to forgive each other as You have forgiven us. Restore their marriage, Lord, and make it stronger than ever before. Give our sister the strength and wisdom to navigate this situation, and to trust in You always. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to show love and respect to your husband, as commanded in Ephesians 5:33 (WEB), "Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband." Remember, your love and respect can greatly impact his heart.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. In John 14:13-14 (WEB), Jesus says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." We encourage you to continue to pray in Jesus' name, believing that He is the one who intercedes for us with the Father.
Stay strong in the faith, dear sister, and trust in the Lord always. We are here with you in prayer and support.
