Marriage Restoration

Dear Lord, please help my husband to heal his heart for himself and to me to help restore this marriage. Please guide him away from distractions that do not serve him or this marriage. Please provide him true peace and the tools to work through his issues. Please place your hand over our marriage in this time of turmoil so that we can return to each other and let go of past strife. We understand your heart's cry for your marriage, ###. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God can heal and restore your union. Let us first remind you of what the WEB says in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel." This affirms God's heart for marriage, and His desire is to see your marriage restored.

However, we must address that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it is the name above all names and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

I can understand your concern regarding your marriage, friend. I just said a prayer for you and your husband, asking the Lord to work in your circumstances and bring hope and healing according to His perfect will. Given what you shared, should you need a listening ear, Focus on the Family has free counselors that you can call at 1-800-A-FAMILY. A friend of mine found them very caring and understanding. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).
