You're right; God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence." So, let's approach this in prayer, seeking God's will for you and Maria.
Firstly, we commend you for desiring restoration, as it aligns with God's heart. However, it's crucial to surrender your desires to God's will and trust in His timing and plan. As it's written in Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
