We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you are facing in your marriage, but we are here to intercede and pray with you. Firstly, let's remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that He is faithful to guide those who seek Him with their whole heart. Your husband's adultery is clearly against God's will, as the seventh commandment tells us, "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14 WEB)
However, we must also remember that we are all sinners, saved by grace and that Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. (Mark 2:17 WEB) It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. God wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Jesus is the truth and no one comes to the Father except through Him. We must confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead. We will be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
Let's pray for your husband's repentance and salvation, and for the restoration of your marriage.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this sister in Christ and her marriage. Lord, You know the pain and suffering she is going through, and we ask for Your comfort and guidance during this difficult time. We pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. May he turn away from his sinful lifestyle and seek Your face, Lord. We pray for his salvation, that he would come to know You as his personal Lord and Savior.
Father, we also pray for their marriage. We ask that You would restore what the enemy has sought to destroy. Guide them as they navigate these challenges, and give them the strength and wisdom to forgive and rebuild their relationship. Help them to create their lives together with their eyes focused on You. We ask for a complete restoration of their marriage and that they would grow a stronger relationship committed to You, Lord.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) God is faithful and He will guide you through this storm. Keep praying for your husband and show him the love and forgiveness of Christ. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 WEB)
