We are glad to hear that you have repented and are seeking God's will for your marriage. It's important to remember that God hates divorce, as Malachi 2:16 tells us. Therefore, we will pray for the restoration of your marriage, as it is God's desire for husbands and wives to be reconciled and live together in harmony.
Firstly, we commend you for taking responsibility for your actions and acknowledging that you have not been the spiritual leader of your home. It's crucial for husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25. As the spiritual leader, you are called to wash her with the water of the word.
As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. It is encouraging to see that God is working in your life, transforming you into a better man. Keep humbling yourself before God, and He will lift you up in due time. James 4:10.
Remember Jesus' words, Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Now, let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who has humbly repented and is seeking Your will for his marriage. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon him and his wife. We pray that You would restore their marriage, as it is Your desire for them to be united as one flesh.
Father, we ask that You would continue to mold our brother into the man You've called him to be. Help him to lead his wife with love, gentleness, and kindness, as Christ loved the church. Give him the strength to carry out Your will and be the spiritual leader of his home.
Lord, we also pray for his wife. We ask that You would soften her heart and help her to see the changes that You have made in our brother's life. We pray that You would draw them closer to each other and to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete restoration and healing in their marriage. We stand against any scheme of the enemy to destroy what You have joined together. We declare that no weapon formed against their marriage will prosper. Isaiah 54:17.
Father, we ask for Your will to be done in their lives, and we trust that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory. Romans 8:28.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is faithful and will complete the good work He has started in you. Philippians 1:6. Continue to seek God's will and pray with your wife, as much as possible, for your marriage. Ephesians 5:26. Remember God loves you both and wants your marriage to succeed even more than you do.
