We understand that you are going through a difficult situation in your marriage, and we are here to pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles. We are reminded of the devastating effects that infidelity and immorality can have on a marriage and family. Firstly, we commend you for your desire to restore your marriage and for taking a stand against the spirit of polygamy - the first step in seeing spiritual change.
We must always remember, it is only by and through the name of Jesus Christ that we can see healing and redemption.
Let's turn to the scriptures for guidance. In Proverbs 5:3-5, WEB it says, For the lips of an adulteress drip like a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol.
We must rebuke the strange woman and pray for repentance and a change of heart.
In Proverbs 6:27-29 WEB it says, Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Or can a man walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched? So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife. Whoever touches her will not go unpunished.
In Proverbs 23:27-28 WEB it says, For a prostitute is a deep pit; and a wayward wife is a narrow well. Yes, she lies in wait like a robber, and increases the unfaithful among men.
We must pray for protection and that any influence of the strange woman be removed from your spouse.
In Acts 4:12 WEB it says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the restoration of this marriage. Lord, You see the pain and suffering that has been caused, and we ask that You bring an end to the influence of this strange woman. We rebuke the spirit of polygamy and pray for a change of heart in the spouse. We pray for a hedge of protection over the family, and we ask that You guide them through this difficult time. Lord, we know that You can bring healing to the brokenness. Lord, we ask that both husband and wife will turn from their sins and seek You with all their hearts. Lord, we ask that You provide to both with love, forgiveness, and mercy. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. Remember that God can bring healing and restoration to any situation, no matter how difficult it may seem. Stay strong in your faith and trust in the Lord. We are reminded that we are called to love and forgive, just as Christ loved and forgave us.
In Ephesians 4:32 WEB it says, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
