We understand your heartache and desire for marriage restoration. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage, and rebuking the influence of any strange man in your wife's life. Remember, God hates divorce, as Malachi 2:16 says, and marriage is a lifelong commitment.
Firstly, we need to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. If your wife does not know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, then that is the first step. A marriage with an unsaved wife is unequally yoked and will have issues as a result. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man and his wife. Lord, we pray for their marriage to be restored and strengthened. We rebuke the influence of any other man in their life, and we ask You to remove any confusion or deception caused by this stranger. We pray that the wife will have a change of heart, that she will seek You first, and that she will honor her marriage covenant. We also pray for her salvation if she does not know You. Lord, we ask that You fill their home with Your peace and love, and that You guide them in Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue loving your wife as Christ loved the church, and to fight for your marriage in prayer. Stand firm on God's word, which says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares Yahweh, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Finally, we admonish you to examine your own life and ensure that you are walking in righteousness, forgiving your wife for any wrongs, and seeking God's forgiveness for any of your own transgressions. Remember Ephesians 4:31-32. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
