It’s about a lady that I want to get married to but for some strange reasons she is saying she has to go back to her ex boyfriend because of some prophecies she has gotten from not just one or two or three pastors about death. I feel like that’s not where she belongs and even if she doesn’t end up with me. Her ex boyfriend is not an option because of his ways. Please help me ask God about this and guide me

Let us address the concerns raised in your request. The lady you wish to marry is considering returning to her ex-boyfriend due to prophecies about death from multiple pastors. It is important to test every spirit and not be led astray by false prophecies. Remember, Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is of utmost importance to seek God's will directly through personal prayer and His Word and have a relationship with the Holy Spirit to lead you.

The fear and prophecies of death are not from God. Especially if the source points the lady to marry a man not aligned with God's will, then the prophecy may ultimately be from a false spirit. The boyfriend is not even a believer in Jesus Christ. In 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, it is written, For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Therefore, let us rebuke the spirit of fear and replace it with God's perfect love, which casts out all fear.

Regarding the lady's ex-boyfriend, if he is not a believer in Jesus Christ and does not exhibit godly characteristics, then he is not a suitable option for marriage. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? And what communion has light with darkness?

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and guidance in this situation. Lord, we lift up the lady in question, asking that You reveal Your perfect will for her life. If it is Your will for her to be with ###, then we ask that You remove all obstacles and confirm Your will through Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. If it is not Your will, then we ask that You give ### the strength and wisdom to accept and understand Your will.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of this lady. We declare that these prophecies of death are not from You, and we ask that You reveal the truth to her. Give her the discernment to test every spirit and not be led astray by false prophecies.

Father, we also ask that You reveal Yourself to the ex-boyfriend. If he is not walking in Your ways, then we ask that You convict his heart and draw him to You. We pray that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You guide ### through this situation. Give him the wisdom to navigate these circumstances and the faith to trust in Your will, whatever it may be.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother, as you navigate this complex situation. Thank you for allowing us to stand in the gap with you, interceding on your behalf. We trust that God, in His infinite wisdom and love, is working out His perfect plan for you and the lady you care for deeply.

If God has given you a sense of peace or direction since your last request please do share with us how you have experienced his work in your life. Your testimony will be a blessing to all. We also encourage you to continue seeking God's will in this matter. God's ways are higher than ours, and He sees the bigger picture. Perhaps He is protecting you from something unforeseen, or preparing you for a different blessing.
