We are blessed to join you in prayer and seek God's will for your life and relationships. It's commendable that you're seeking God's plan for your marriage, as marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God.
Firstly, let's pray for discernment, as feelings can sometimes be deceiving. In Jeremiah 17:9 WEB it says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" Therefore, it's crucial to seek God's wisdom in this matter. As it says in James 1:5 WEB, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Secondly, let's pray that God's will be done in your life and that you will align with His plan for your marriage. In Matthew 6:10 WEB, Jesus teaches us to pray, "Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth." Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, " 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
Now, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We pray that You will grant them the wisdom and discernment needed for this situation. Help them to see this potential spouse through Your eyes, and not merely through their feelings.
We pray, Father, that Your will be done in their life. If this person is not the one You have planned for them, we pray that You will make it clear and help them to accept and obey Your will. If this person is indeed who You have chosen for them, we pray that You will make that clear as well, and that You will guide them through every step of the journey ahead.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. For it is in Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is only through faith and belief in Jesus that we can be saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to wait on the Lord, for He is faithful. As it says in Psalm 37:4-5 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:"
